Nnedinma C. Ifudu Nweke

Nnedi is a partner in the international trade practice at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, based in Washington, D.C. She advises U.S. and international clients on complex legal and regulatory issues affecting cross-border transactions, including export controls, economic sanctions, trade embargoes, anti-corruption laws and anti-money laundering regulations. 

In addition to her client work, Nweke plays an active leadership role within her firm and the broader legal community. She contributes to initiatives such as diversity and inclusion efforts and the firm’s Africa-focused practice, while maintaining a strong pro bono commitment. A graduate of Harvard Law School, she has received multiple recognitions for her professional excellence and leadership.
