Zanele Mbuyisa

Zanele is a South African attorney and director and co-founder of MBM Law, where she plays a leading role in litigation, public interest law, and complex class action matters. With nearly two decades of legal experience, she has built a strong track record working on high-profile cases involving corporate accountability and human rights.
In addition to her litigation practice, Zanele advises on a broad range of legal areas, including corporate, commercial, media, administrative, and constitutional law, with a particular focus on access to justice and people-centered legal solutions. She also provided legal support to organizations like Open Secrets and served as in-house counsel to the Platform to Protect Whistleblowers in Africa (PPLAAF). She is also co-founder of the Haki Legal Clinic, which delivers public interest legal services to underserved communities.
